Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

1. Who you're contracting with

When Work Stops™ ("the Service") is provided by David McFadden ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. What we provide

When Work Stops™ offers verified resources, guidance, and paid digital tools (such as the Recovery Toolkit) for people facing financial hardship, job loss, or serious illness. The information we publish is for general educational purposes and is not legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service unlawfully or for fraudulent purposes.
  • Send spam, malware, or engage in abusive behavior.
  • Infringe intellectual property or other legal rights.
  • Probe, scan, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service's security or infrastructure.
  • Resell, redistribute, or circumvent technical limits on paid content.

4. Intellectual property

All content, branding, software, and materials that make up the Service are owned by David McFadden or licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. Purchased products (such as the Recovery Toolkit) are licensed to you for personal use.

5. Accounts and accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping any credentials confidential. You must be old enough under your local law to enter into a contract to make a purchase.

6. Payments, billing, and Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms. Refunds are also subject to our Refund Policy.

7. Service availability

We work to keep the Service running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Resources may be updated, added, or removed as verification requires.

8. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
